Paddy Drop 2022 Information

DeAnna Dathe was born and raised in LaMoure and graduated from LaMoure High School. She earned her Elementary Education Degree from Jamestown College. She married Kyle Dathe and together had two children, Kadence and Greer.

DeAnna went above and beyond the duties that are required of a teacher, often making sure her student's needs were met, no matter what it was, from a smile to supplies. If you ask her former students, they will more than likely say they were her favorite. She had the ability to make kids feel that they were truly special.

When DeAnna was 11 months old, she was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, which is a rare disorder that causes damage to tissue or lesions to form in the body. She was then diagnosed with a rare intestinal cancer in January 2021. DeAnna did not want to have a lot of attention when she was going through chemotherapy, she wanted to put everyone else first. DeAnna passed away surrounded by her family on December 14th, 2021. Before she passed away, she mentioned she felt very honored to be nominated for this fundraiser and appreciates everyone thinking of her and her family during this time.
